BARRE
Barre is a ballet inspired form of exercise, where a wall barre is used as the main tool, however, other props like small balls or dumbbells are also used.
Generally, a barre class focuses more on lower body muscles by performing ballet like exercises, but it also incorporates elements of Pilates and Yoga, such as core strengthening, form, stability, and flexibility.
The pace of a barre class is higher than that of a Pilates class, as moves are performed to the rhythm of the music. Barre is also commonly referred to as fitness ballet or cardio ballet.
You are only as young as your spince is flexible.
Barre classes offer many benefits such as endurance, core and overall muscle strength, postural improvement, flexibility, muscle definition among others. In addition, given the dynamics of a barre class (loud music, party-like atmosphere), participants may experience a stimulation of wellbeing neurotransmitters such as endorphins and serotonin, hence giving a stress relief experience.
Lean muscles
Just like Pilates, barre will help you build lean muscles, but more precisely around your lower body as legs are the focus. Expect wobbly legs by the end of a class!
Endurance
Barre sessions give little room for rest, in return you will build endurance!
Flexibility
The repertoire in a barre class not only involves strengthening but also stretching, giving you a great mix between strong and flexible!

Barre classes are just so vigorous and energetic! Working out at the rhythm of music, barre classes are like working out while parting.

No class resembles another. With the variety of props that are used for barre, one class you can expect stability ball, toning balls, fitness circle or band.
